Wow, what a terrible job of interviewing. "What does a blacksmith do?" Sheesh, granted the guy's 93 years old, but he comes off as at least moderately lucid. Why not ask him some questions about the comics he drew? Show him a classic cover and ask him something about it?

The cover shown here is not a Creig Flessel cover. It was drawn by John Richard Flanagan, who was a well-known illustrator during the period when this cover was drawn. Creig Flessel confirmed this for me in a conversation I had with him recently. Flanagan also drew the covers to Adventure Comics #37-39, which are often misattributed to Creig Flessel.
